Dates set for clubís annual fundraiser and youth tournaments

Spokane SC Shadow announced the dates for several key events coming up in 2016, The first event will be the Shadow Charity Poker Tournament & Auction on February 28. On field events kick off in March when the club hosts the Inland Northwest 5-a-Side tournament and the First Team holds tryouts in preparation to defend its back-to-back EPLWA championships. The club also will host the Northwest Cup youth tournament August 12-14.

Spokane SC Shadow was announced today as one of the founding members of the Northwest Premier League, an elite statewide league designed as an opportunity for top women’s players to compete at an elite level during the summer. The NWPL, created by members of the successful EPLWA men’s league, will kick off in 2016.

SSC Shadow announced Tuesday that former Whitworth women's head coach Jael Hagerott and her father Daman Hagerott, a longtime Spokane coaching fixture, will serve as assistant coaches under Kevin Moon for the Shadow Women's First Team in its first season in the newly-created Northwest Premier League.

Team prepares for debut Season Opener at Yakima Sunday

SSC Shadow unveiled its first group of players for the new Shadow Women’s First Team in preparation for the team’s debut this weekend on the road against Yakima United on Opening Day in the Northwest Premier League. Katie Cashman, Sarah Cox, Averi Hallman, Allison Jordan, Megan Lindsay, Tasha Luu, Marissa Mykines, Tiara Pitttman-Thomas and Kellie Zakrzewski are university seniors or post-collegiate standouts that will take the field Sunday as part of the initial lineup.

EPLWA, NWPL seasons kick off for two-time league champion men & newly-created womenís side

A tale of two stories begins Sunday morning when the Spokane Shadow First Teams step into the bus and embark on their season-opening trip to Yakima for a doubleheader to face the Hoppers at Marquette Stadium. For the men, it’s the start of a campaign to defend back-to-back titles they have captured in the Evergreen Premier League. For the ladies, it’s a new era as they will be the first women’s side to represent the Shadow, which has a lengthy and storied past in men’s soccer.

Shadow Women win inaugural match; Men draw at Yakima
First Team Home Openers this Saturday at SFCC beginning at 4:30

The Shadow First Teams opened their seasons with an unbeaten doubleheader at Yakima Sunday afternoon in the Northwest Premier League and Evergreen Premier League. The ladies dominated in a 5-2 victory in their first-ever match to open the NWPL season and the two-time champion men opened their EPLWA title defense with a scoreless stalemate against the Hoppers.

After an unbeaten trip to Yakima to open the season last weekend, the Shadow are home at Spokane Falls CC Stadium in Week 2 of the Northwest Premier League and Evergreen Premier League seasons. The Shadow Women’s First Team plays host to NWPL side Twin Cities Union in the first half of the doubleheader at 4:30 pm with the two-time EPLWA champion Men’s First Team playing host to Vancouver Victory at 7:00.  Tickets for the doubleheader are $10 for Adults, $7 for Children 15 and under.

The ladies moved to 3-0 on the season with another large victory, scoring four in the first half en route to a 9-2 result. The men ended their goal-less status and earned their first win of the campaign with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Women's First Team fell 2-1 in a surprising loss, their first defeat of the inaugural Northwest Premier League season.

The Spokane Shadow First Teams posted a pair of shutouts Saturday evening as they downed visiting rival Yakima United. The ladies posted four goals in the first half en route to a 9-0 NWPL result with the two-time EPLWA champions following it up with a goal in each half for a 2-0 decision.

The Spokane Shadow Men's and Women's First Teams wrapped up their season series against the Olympic Force a combined 4-0 with a pair of victories Saturday evening at Joe Albi Stadium in front of over 800 fans. The WFT kicked things off with a shutout performance in a 5-0 win and the MFT followed up with a 5-2 result in the second half of the doubleheader. On Sunday, the MFT fell 2-0 to visiting Wenatchee at Spokane Falls CC Stadium.

Fans get in for half price with donation to Toys for Tots

School is out and summer is here, but on Saturday the Spokane Shadow First Teams will be celebrating Christmas in June for their doubleheader at Spokane Falls CC Stadium, requesting its fans to donate to Toys for Tots at the games, which begin at 4:00 on June 18. Tickets are regularly $10 for Adults, $7 for Children 15 and under, but fans that bring a new toy to the match will get in for half price ($5 for Adults, $3 for Children 15 and under).

The Shadow Women's First Team posted another big home win Saturday night at Spokane Falls CC Stadium to maintain their lead in the Northwest Premier League, downing visiting Fuerza FC 7-2 on the night. The Men's First Team, meanwhile, dropped a 4-1 contest to visiting Bellingham, who was third in the table going into the evening.

Shadow home openers set for May 7 after kicking season off in Yakima May 1

The Evergreen Premier League and Northwest Premier League unveiled their 2016 season schedules Wednesday. Both leagues will kick off with a combined seven games on May 1, three of them doubleheaders, and wrap up the weekend of July 30-31. The Shadow First Teams will continue to call its primary home Spokane Falls CC Stadium, where it has won two EPLWA titles, home in 2016.

Ladies roll past Twin City while Men fall to Vancouver

The Spokane Shadow Men's and Women's First Teams came back to Spokane for their home openers on Saturday, after starting their seasons on the road in Yakima last weekend. The Shadow WFT won 9-0 in dominating fashion against the Twin City Union while the Shadow MFT fell to the Vancouver Victory by a score of 3-0 in front of a crowd of 732 for the doubleheader at Spokane Falls CC Stadium.

The Spokane Shadow First Teams head to the west side of the state this weekend for a pair of two-game road trips. Both teams will face the Seattle Stars on Saturday – at two different venues – before they split up for their matches Sunday as the Women’s First Team visits Fuerza FC in Marysville and the Men’s First Team travels to Bellingham to face one of their fellow title contenders.

Shadow Women win Inaugural NWPL title; MFT streak ends at 18

Needing just two points to lock up the championship in the debut season of the Northwest Premier League, the Shadow Women's First Team did that and more over the weekend with a dominating sweep of the Seattle Stars and Fuerza FC to clinch the NWPL Championship. Meanwhile, the Men's First Team extended their amazing road unbeaten to 18 games with a win over Seattle before seeing it come to an end the next day in Bellingham.
