In pursuit of improving U.S. Soccer’s longer term objectives for talent identification and individual development of young players, U.S. Soccer has called in a group of 64 players for a four-day camp that will focus on identifying the most talented players in the 2002 and 2003 birth years who appear to be on a later physical development path and/or are born in the second half of the year.

Serrano was called in as a midfielder for the 2002 birth year. As a member of the Sounders FC Academy U14 squad, Serrano has excelled and also earned time with the U16 team.  From Serrano, born in 2002, signed the Sounders Academy U-14s from youth-club partner Spokane Sounders. After impressing in his own age group, the attacking midfielder was promoted to the U-15s and subsequently the U-16s.  While playing for the U-16s in Generation Adidas Cup, he tallied a brace against San Jose Earthquakes and scored the Rave Green’s lone goal against Liga MX-side Chivas de Guadalajara,.

Crooks' call from US Soccer is a continuation of her standout career. Last fall she was a part of the 26-player group at the final US Under-15 Girls National Team Camp before it ended its cycle. As the group begins its new cycle as U17, Crooks will return to California June 2-11 as part of a 24-player squad that is preparing for a July trip to China (roster to be announced).  US Soccer Release [+]
